SnugsyNest is a digital platform for Indonesian families raising children with special needs. By creating an account or even browsing the public pages, you agree to these Terms of Service and our companion Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If something here conflicts with mandatory consumer protection rules in your jurisdiction (UU Perlindungan Konsumen No. 8/1999 in particular), the mandatory rule wins.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or a verified guardian, to create a parent account. When you sign up, you agree to provide accurate information and keep your password private. You are responsible for everything that happens under your login.
If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password and email us at security@snugsynest.com right away.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We process the deletion within 30 days, in line with our Privacy Policy.
What you post
When you post in NestLink (the parent forum), share milestones, or comment on others' posts, you keep ownership of what you wrote. You give SnugsyNest a non-exclusive license to display it on the platform and, if you opt in, in our newsletter or social channels.
Things to keep in mind when posting about your child:
- Use first names or initials where possible - full names linger on the internet
- Avoid sharing photos that show school uniforms, addresses, or identifying landmarks
- Remember your child may someday read what you wrote about them
You can edit or delete your own posts and comments at any time. Edited content shows an “edited” marker; deletions remove the post from view (we keep an internal record for 30 days for moderation purposes).
Professionals and ratings
Therapists and psychologists listed on NestHub provide professional credentials when they join. We verify those credentials against the relevant registries (HIMPSI, IBKI, PT-OPI). Profiles marked “Verified” have passed this check.
Reviews and ratings come from parents who have actually booked through SnugsyNest. Reviews must reflect honest experience. We remove reviews that contain personal attacks, racial or religious slurs, or false claims that could damage a professional's reputation. We do not remove honest negative reviews just because the professional is unhappy.
Professionals can respond publicly to reviews. They cannot delete them or pay for better placement. Search ranking is based on rating, response rate, and verification status - not advertising.
Bookings and payments
When you book a consultation through NestHub, you enter into a service agreement directly with the professional. SnugsyNest facilitates the booking and the payment, but the actual care relationship is between you and the practitioner.
Payments are made via QRIS. Once a booking is confirmed:
- Cancellations more than 24 hours before the appointment: full refund
- Cancellations within 24 hours: 50% refund (covers the professional's reserved time)
- No-shows: no refund, but the professional may offer to reschedule at their discretion
If a session does not happen because the professional cancels, you receive a full refund within 7 working days, plus a credit for the inconvenience.
Donations
Donations to SnugsyNest support the platform's ongoing operations and any partner foundations we publicly designate. Donations are not tax-deductible unless the receiving entity holds a specific Indonesian tax-exempt designation, which we will state clearly on the donation page.
Donations are voluntary and final. If you donated by mistake or in the wrong amount, email hello@snugsynest.com within 7 days and we will work it out.
Medical disclaimer
SnugsyNest is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Articles on NestInfo, posts in NestLink, and information shared by SnugPal (our AI assistant) are for educational purposes only.
For diagnosis or treatment decisions, always consult a licensed healthcare provider - your child's pediatrician (Dokter Spesialis Anak), a developmental pediatrician (Dokter Anak Tumbuh Kembang), or a child psychiatrist (Dokter Spesialis Kedokteran Jiwa Anak). In an emergency, contact your nearest hospital or the national emergency number 112.
Things you can't do
To keep SnugsyNest safe for families, you agree not to:
- Impersonate another person, profession, or organization
- Use the platform to sell unrelated products, run MLMs, or recruit for paid programs without permission
- Share content that promotes pseudoscience treatments without disclosure (e.g. unproven biomedical “cures” for autism)
- Harass, bully, or shame other parents or professionals
- Post content that violates UU ITE - defamation, hate speech, threats, doxxing
- Scrape data, run automated bots, or attempt to break into other accounts
- Reverse-engineer the platform or copy substantial portions of our content
Breaking these rules can result in content removal, account suspension, or termination - depending on severity. Serious cases (illegal content, threats to children) are reported to the relevant authorities.
Intellectual property
The SnugsyNest name, logo, NestHub / NestLink / NestGrowth / NestInfo brands, the SnugPal character, and all original written content on the platform are owned by SnugsyNest. You can link to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. You cannot copy entire articles, replicate the design, or use our name to imply endorsement.
User-generated content (your posts, comments, milestones) belongs to you. We hold only the license described in section 03.
Limits on our liability
We work hard to keep SnugsyNest accurate, available, and secure. But software is software, and edge cases happen. To the maximum extent permitted by Indonesian law:
- The platform is provided “as is” without warranty of any specific outcome
- We are not liable for decisions you make based on information from the platform - see the medical disclaimer
- We are not liable for the conduct of professionals, parents, or third parties on the platform, beyond our duty to moderate in good faith
- Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid SnugsyNest in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or Rp 1.000.000 - whichever is greater
Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under Indonesian consumer protection law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using SnugsyNest and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms - typically with notice and a chance to fix the issue, except in cases of serious or repeated violations.
On termination, the sections that should reasonably survive (intellectual property, liability limits, governing law) continue to apply.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes that cannot be resolved through good-faith conversation will be brought before the competent courts in Jakarta.
For consumer disputes, you also have the right to pursue resolution through the Indonesian Consumer Dispute Resolution Agency (Badan Penyelesaian Sengketa Konsumen / BPSK) in your area.
